5 Job sites Opportunity for Newbie and Experienced

The pandemic has already boosted remote-work jobs. Work-From-Home is the new normal around the globe. Alongside this, short/crash courses for those who aspire to work as a freelancer sprouted like a mushroom. After learning or upskilling, doing your resumé, making portfolios, preparing your equipment, where do you go from there? Of course, JOB HUNTING!
Here are 5 Jobsites worth checking if you’re looking for a remote job as a freelancer or virtual assistant.
ONLINE JOB PH

In the Philippines, it is the largest form of the marketplace that hires Filipino virtual workers. Founded in 2008 by JOHN JONAS, located in Lehi, Utah County in the United States.
HOW TO APPLY: First you need to sign-up for an online job ph account. Provide as much information as you can to be hired. After completing your Profile, you can start applying for job post sites according to your preference, skills, and experience.
PROS: Online job ph doesn’t take a commission out of worker’s rate. This means more take-home dollars of earnings.
CONS: You need to increase your ID Proof by submitting an issued valid government ID, taking clear photos of you holding your ID to help them determine the authenticity of your identity. By doing so, more clients will find your profile as trustworthy as you say who you are.
UPWORK

Lauded as the largest and most popular online recruitment company, connecting savvy businesses hiring skilled freelance professionals and remote teams that engaged in meaningful work projects. Upwork, formerly Elance-oDesk, was founded in 2003 by two friends, ODYSSEAS TSATALOS and STRATIS KARAMANLAKIS, with headquarters in Santa Clara, California, U.S.
HOW TO APPLY: The first thing as always like any other website or work-related platform is signing up to have your account. Then build your profile by providing an overview of yourself, expertise, sample output, or anything that is work-related that will help you noticed by a client, set an hourly rate, and start searching for projects.
PROS: Freelancers often get hired quickly. If a client likes your proposal and you aced the phone conversation, you may be starting on a project as soon as possible. They have higher-paying projects than other sites and clients are more likely to pay higher rates for your services.
CONS: They require service fees ranging from 5% to 20% depending on your earnings aside from paying “connects” to submit proposals to a client. It’s difficult to get hired for your first project. There are scammers too- when a supposed-to-be client asks for money or bond for registration to get the job- RUN! you could be scammed.

If you have a Facebook account, then LinkedIn is like that, but for career professionals and the business community. It is a social network that focuses on professionals (with past and current colleagues) to connect, share, and learn. Founded in December 2002 by REID HOFFMAN. You can find their headquarters in Sunnyvale, California USA.
HOW TO APPLY: You have to have a LinkedIn account by signing up and creating your profile. In the platform, you can click on the jobs tab to take you to the page, and use the search box to look for a job you wanted to be based on your skills and experience and find a match to your description.
PROS: You can research prospective companies. They give you the ability to showcase your profile, expertise in your industry, recommendations/endorsement, and a wide range of connections with people.
CONS: Since you can easily expand your network, expect to have scam messages and it is also difficult to be noticed by your potential client because of the sizeable presence of professionals like yourself.
